How to Use AI to Create High-Converting Ads

Some ads go so hard you can't help but pull out your wallet.

Other ads just suck. They make you cringe and wonder if the person behind them has ever sold anything in their life.

The secret sauce is in the copy. Sure, if your video quality looks like it was filmed in 2004 or the ad creative itself looks like it was made in MS Paint, they're probably gonna suck. But even if you have the best visuals, without good copy, it literally doesn’t matter.

That’s why I’m here to show you how to master it all with AI, so you don’t end up burning cash on ineffective ads.

Using ChatGPT for Ad Creation

The popular choice is, of course, ChatGPT. Every founder or media buyer has tried to get the ideas flowing with ChatGPT.

They probably end up going back to the drawing board because, well, it has its limitations. Let's walk through a real-world example.

Here’s a specific prompt you might use to create ad copy:

"Write an engaging Facebook ad for a new eco-friendly water bottle. Highlight its benefits, such as keeping drinks cold for 24 hours, being made from recycled materials, and having a sleek design. Use a casual, friendly tone."

Now, let’s see what ChatGPT might spit out:

If you couldn't tell, The copy ChatGPT generates is so bad it’s almost impressive. It’s like an antonym of a “scroll stopper.”

Plus, it's extremely cringe. My grandmother might be a fan of it, but even she might cringe. Sure, you can use it to brainstorm ideas, but you still need a human to give it the green light before you start spending cash. And that human will basically need to rewrite the whole thing. So, you’re barely scratching the surface of what AI can really do.

Using an AI Ad Generator for Ad Creation

Today, there’s an AI tool for just about everything. Most of them are solving problems that don’t exist, or they just aren’t that good at solving said problem. But all that VC money has to go somewhere, right?

That said, using an AI ad generator can definitely be a step up from regular old ChatGPT. These tools are built specifically to create high-quality ads.

They’ll certainly let you cook up more ideas. However, most of these tools don't actually train the model on your specific ads, so they still come out sounding pretty generic, and not in that unique style you’re probably looking for.

Using Dojo AI to Enhance Your AI Ad Generation

Dojo, however, is in a league of its own. It generates ad copy so good you’ll be firing your copywriter in no time. You can just type in a few details, and the AI will spit out 5 different versions of a 10/10 ad in 3 minutes. You’ll have a hard time choosing which one to even use.

How to use Dojo AI for Ad Creation

There are multiple ways to use AI for creating high-converting ads. It all starts with what you want to achieve. There's video sales letters, meta copy for social media ads, and even the copy on those image ads you see all over the internet. Let’s break down the general process for ad copy in Dojo:

  1. Gather Your Best Scripts: Find the best examples of VSLs you’ve written or loved from others. The more, the better.
  2. Train Your Model: Upload these scripts into Dojo. Make sure to be detailed with each input. Include product descriptions, pain points the product solves, and target user profiles. Once satisfied, begin training your model.
  3. Generate Your Script: Once your model is trained, input the new product you want a VSL for, ensuring its in the same style as your training data. Dojo will spit out a script that matches your style perfectly.
  4. Edit and Refine: If the generated script isn’t 100% perfect, tweak it. Remember, you can save the best ones and keep refining your model.

That’s the gist of it. Your input might vary depending on the structure, length, and style of your ad, but the process generally remains the same. Think outside the box and carefully craft your prompts to give the AI as much context as possible. This way, you avoid it spitting out irrelevant or incorrect information.

Still not convinced? Try Dojo for yourself and see the magic happen. Let’s get those ads converted.
